I need to learn never to leave the safety of the AV Club. I clicked on an article on Afterelton about Glee and was shocked (SHOCKED!) to discover that people actually still like Glee. In fact, I was shocked to discover that people actually thought the show was great and defended the whole series. It was like discovering a mysterious new world where up is down and black is white. I felt a little like a cultural anthropologist and a little like a colonist wanting to educate the ignorant savages.

It was more shocking than going on tumblr and finding out people ship Emily and Nolan on Revenge or that people actually like Allison on Teen Wolf.

I know what you mean. I just left the AV Club and I found out that someone actually watches Teen Wolf.

In one of my classes a lot of people were talking about how great it is that intelligent and well-developed programs like The Walking Dead and The Big Bang Theory were being aired as an alternative to all the shit TV out there.

Someone actually said The Walking Dead was comparable with Mad Men in terms of characterization and overall quality. Haha, Mad Men is my favorite television show! That's what makes the comparison so painful!

    ...I watch Teen Wolf...

Mostly because my friends on twitter won't shut up about it and I at least need to know what's going on. It's mostly campy goodness, and the idiocy of the main character is practically legendary.

Also, to bring a little bit of fandom into the mix, here are my thoughts on Glee:

Doctor Who Fandom Curse: Knowing that at some point your Doctor will have to regenerate.
Supernatural Fandom Curse: Knowing that your Series will end.... and soon.
Avengers Fandom Curse: Knowing that Joss Whedon will likely kill a favorite character.
Twilight Fandom Curse: Knowing that you will never win a fight against another fandom.... ever.
Harry Potter Fandom Curse: Knowing that it will never be as good as the first time around.
Sherlock Fandom Curse: Knowing that after waiting forever you will probably only get three more episodes with a cliffhanger even worse than the previous one.
    Glee Fandom Curse: Glee

I don't agree with all of these, but...yeah. It's pretty accurate.
